I have been a professional freelance photographer since 1996, but I
discovered my unending passion for photography many years before that.
When I was very young, my dad taught me how to shoot on his old, fully
manual Pentax camera, and I haven't looked back since—although I am a
Canon girl now!

I studied photography and design at university, and went on to teach
photography privately and at the Ah-Haa School for the Arts in
Telluride, CO. I have exhibited my award-winning fine art photography
nationally, and my work has appeared in numerous publications,
including Wine & Spirits, Rock and Ice, and The Knot. I continue to
develop my knowledge and love of photography by taking classes and
workshops with some of the best photographers in the country, and by
traveling to places that get my creativity flowing. I have shot in
England, Ireland, Mexico, Canada, and in 49 of the United States! I am
also blessed to live in a cabin and work in a studio that are tucked
right into the foot of a beautiful mountain. I'm inspired by my
surroundings every day.

What I find most rewarding about being a photographer is that the
things that inspire me, the things I love the most—my family and
friends, travel, the outdoors, music, great food and wine, creating
beauty and really living life—are all things that I get to explore and
spend time with every day in my professional life as well.

I am so lucky-I think I have the best job in the world.
